I just bought a new phone, the moto x pure.
Here are some thoughts.
It took about 2 weeks from order time to delivery time.
It was completely painless to get it working with my verizon plan. I brought it in, the person at verizon looked up the phone id in the settings and installed a new sim card, and it just worked.
As I was setting up my phone, it started to get pretty warm. This is something I should monitor.
I haven't really started using the motorola specific features that I heard were pretty good. One thing that I find a little annoying is that the screen never seems completely off. It keep waking up. I think this is a featue, not a bug, so let's see if I can get used to it.
The phone feels pretty big. When I put the free bumper on, I had trouble holding it in my hand. But, I started to get used to it. Importantly, it pretty comfortably fits into my pants pockets, so I think it'll be fine.
I keep a lookout for the new Nexus 5x. If: the specs compare well, the battery is just as big, and it will work on verizon, I may swap my phone for this moto x.
I'll start using it for real in the next few days. Here's hoping for the best.
